College Snap Shots
After graduating from Edinburgh High School, I continued my education at Franklin College. Franklin College is a small liberal arts college located in the town of Franklin, IN. I did not go far from home, but I got the best of both worlds as a college student. It was nice to be close to home, but I kept myself busy so that I was making a name for myself in a new town and a new place.
At Franklin I ran cross country and track and participated in Best Buddies, which is a special needs organization. I was also a Resident Assistant, which is a job that ensures safety in the dormitories. Lastly, I was a Biology mentor and was part of the outdoors club, which were two more extracurricular activities that kept me on the go all of the time.
Franklin College is known for their education program, and I got first hand experience as to how they have created a name for themselves. I was constantly in the classroom getting hands-on experience doing the same duties the main teachers were doing. Franklin College filled me with the knowledge I need to know while in the classroom, and they gave me an abundant amount of chances inside of the classroom to ensure I was ready to dive into teaching and leave with everlasting knowledge as I journey through my years as an educator.
